About Our Store
Welcome to Our Store
Situated in Acomb, in the suburbs of the great city of York, Caboodle has been offering a great valye and friendly service to our community for decades!
The current owner Lloyd took the business over in February 1999 and has developed the business to meet the needs of our community. We’re a well stocked local hardware & diy store with pretty everything you could need to complete your job or improve your home inside.
Our range includes:
- Decor (Paint, adhesives, decorating tools, woodcare)
- Housewares (kitchen, cleaning products and more)
- Ironmongery (fixtures and fittings, security, nails and screws etc)
- Pet Care (food, toys, bedding, housing)
- Garden (Chemicals, fertiliser, pots & baskets, tools)
- Electrical (cables, fittings, lightbulbs, batteries)
- DIY (timber, hand & power tools, plumbing accessories)
Our business has also expanded into services, especially keycutting for vehicles as well as the usual house and door keys. We have now developed a reputation locally as the ’go to’ place when your car key fails in the York area!
Lloyd therefore is always in and out of the store helping customers with their car key emergencies, but have no fear whilst he’s out there is a dedicated team of staff here to help you with your hardware and key cutting needs.
Mica
We joined the Mica group of independent retailers around a decade ago, to ensure we could continue to compete with the large shed retailers on price, and more often than not beat them too! We have also been able to develop the store and the products we hold through exchange of ideas and knowledge with other independent retailers from up and down the UK.
We’re now open 7 days a week due to customer demand, only closing two days a year (Christmas and Boxing Day if you’re curious!).
